About
Hari aum! From Day 90–93, Brahman was understood as Satyam–Jñānam–Anantam. In Day 94, the emphasis shifted to Ānanda Brahma-Bliss is not an experience, but the very nature of the Truth. The Nirvāṇa Ṣaṭkam composed by Adi Shankaracharya expresses this truth through negation, and completes it with the recognition: Śivo’ham. 1. Not the Body-Mind, but My True Nature I (Self) am not the mind, intellect, ego, memory, sense organs, or the physical elements. All these are instruments of experience, but not what I truly am. I (Self) am existence-consciousness-infinite, ever-present and unchanging. I (Self) am, Śivo’ham-I am that Auspicious, ever-free Reality. 2. Not the Vital Functions or Inner Layers I (Self) am not the life force, physiological systems, or the layers of personality. Everything that is observed, whether gross or subtle, is not what I am. I (Self) am the unchanging existence-consciousness-infinite because of which all these are known. I (Self) am, Śivo’ham-I am that Auspicious, ever-free Reality. 3. Beyond Emotions and Human Pursuits I (Self) am free from likes and dislikes, greed, delusion, pride, and jealousy. I (Self) am beyond all pursuits such as duty, wealth, desire, and even liberation. I (Self) am fullness itself, free from all disturbances. I (Self) am existence-consciousness-infinite. I (Self) am, Śivo’ham-I am that Auspicious, ever-free Reality. 4. Beyond Action and Experience I (Self) am not affected by virtue or vice, joy or sorrow. I (Self) am not dependent on rituals, scriptures, or practices. I (Self) am neither the doer nor the experiencer. I (Self) remain untouched, ever-full. I (Self) am existence-consciousness-infinite. I (Self) am, Śivo’ham-I am that Auspicious, ever-free Reality. 5. Beyond Birth, Death, and Relationships I (Self) have no birth or death, no caste or identity, no family or relationships. All such associations belong to the body and mind. I (Self) am timeless, ever free, and independent. I (Self) am existence-consciousness-infinite. I (Self) am, Śivo’ham-I am that Auspicious, ever-free Reality. 6. Formless, All-Pervading Reality I (Self) am without form (‘Satyam Brahma’), beyond all limitations (‘Jñānam Brahma’), and present everywhere (‘Anantam Brahma’). I (Self) am not bound by anything, nor do I need freedom. I (Self) am infinite and immeasurable. I (Self) am existence-consciousness-infinite (‘Satyam–Jñānam–Anantam Brahma’), referred to as Śiva, the Auspicious. I (Self) am, Śivo’ham-I am that Auspicious, ever-free Reality (‘Ānanda Brahma’). Through this, the teaching becomes a direct recognition: what was understood as Satyam–Jñānam–Anantam is owned as Śivo’ham, and realised as Ānanda Brahma. This understanding is classically called the highest knowledge (parā vidyā) because it is not about acquiring something new, but recognizing what one already is: existence-consciousness-infinite, Śiva. This is the highest knowledge-Ātma-jñānam. Hari aum!
