Day-52 — Linking the Four Varṇa with the Four Āśrama

Hari aum! In the previous talks we understood the fourfold Varṇa system based on Guṇa and Karma as described in the Bhagavad Gītā. The Vedic vision, however, did not stop there; it also provided the framework of the four Āśramas — the four stages of human life. While Varṇa guides the natural aptitude and contribution of an individual in society, Āśrama guides the progression and discipline of one’s life journey. Together they create a balanced structure for both social harmony and inner growth. In today’s talk we will briefly see how these two ideas beautifully complement each other. Hari aum.
