Day 255 - First You Apply, Then I Reply

About

Guruji reminds us: “God says, first you apply, then I reply.” We spend much of our life applying to the world for what we desire: knowledge, wealth, family, recognition and happiness. We approach teachers, employers, people and institutions, making repeated efforts until our applications bear fruit. So we have a wonderful scriptural example for Guruji’s statement: First you apply, then I reply. Arjuna applies as a śiṣya. Kṛṣṇa replies as the Guru. What are the three eṣaṇās — Vitteṣaṇā, Putreṣaṇā and Lokeṣaṇā ? Hari aum!
