Total Recap to Day 253 in detail: Guruji’s words, “We need to belong to Him, then He belongs to us,” reveal a beautiful progression in our relationship with Bhagavān. To belong to Him means to gradually surrender the ego, the insistence on “I” and “mine”, and place our life in His hands with trust and śaraṇāgati. The lives of Devakī, Akrūra, Uddhava, the Gopīs, Draupadī and Arjuna beautifully demonstrate different dimensions of this belonging, whether through love, service, surrender, faith or complete refuge. When we truly choose Bhagavān, we begin to discover that He becomes our strength, guide, protector and intimate companion. “He belongs to us” therefore does not mean possession. It means the deep intimacy of bhakti, where the distance between the devotee and the Lord gradually disappears. Arjuna chose Krishna over Krishna’s mighty army, choosing the Lord rather than His power or what He could provide. This is the movement from Preyas to Śreyas, from asking “What can God give me?” to understanding “I belong to God.” Ultimately, spiritual maturity is not merely about seeking Bhagavān for what we want. It is about discovering that He is the One we truly want. When we can sincerely say, “I am His,” we discover the profound joy of knowing, “He is mine.” Hari aum!
