Inner vanity and external pride both arise from Non-apprehension (Avaraṇa) the ignorance of our true nature. When the Truth is not known, the mind creates false identities, comparisons, and dependencies. Thus, the mind becomes the cause of happiness, unhappiness, and all inner fluctuations, not the world. Understanding this connection prepares the ground for moving from: • Avaraṇa → “I don’t know the Truth” • Adhyāropa → “I know wrongly” • Advaita-jñāna → “I know rightly” This is the transition point of the entire series — from symptoms to source, from psychology to Vedānta.
