Day 187 - Seek Noble Company, Approach the Guru and Serve with Humility

In the first verse, Śrī Ādi Śaṅkarācārya taught us how to prepare ourselves through right study, right action and purification. In the second verse, he tells us where and with whom we should grow spiritually. Śrī Ādi Śaṅkarācārya reminds us that the spiritual journey is never meant to be walked alone. We seek the company of the noble, approach the Guru with humility, and serve without expectation. Through Satsanga, Seva, and Surrender, the ego becomes subtle, the mind becomes pure, and the heart becomes a worthy abode for Bhagavān. As Gurudev lovingly reminds us: “Surrender your mind in devotion unto the Lord. He will purify it and return it back to you.” A purified mind is the greatest gift a seeker can receive, for it alone becomes fit to realise the Truth. Hari aum Tat Sat.
