About
Today let us reflect upon one of the beautiful names of Hanumān Ji—Piṅgākṣa (पिङ्गाक्षः), the Golden-Eyed One. The eyes are often called the windows of the mind. When we look into a person’s eyes, we often get a glimpse of their inner world. A restless mind produces restless eyes. An angry mind produces harsh eyes. A loving mind produces gentle eyes. A wise mind produces calm and steady eyes. Therefore, when Hanumān is called Piṅgākṣa, we may reflect not merely on the color of his eyes, but on what his eyes reveal about his inner personality. Hanumān’s eyes reveal three extraordinary qualities: 1. Jñāna – Knowledge 2. Bhakti – Devotion 3. Karma Yoga – Selfless Action These three are not separate in Hanumān. They exist in perfect harmony. Hari Aum!
