About
Day 101 introduces the Vision of Vedānta, emphasizing that self-knowledge is primary. It explains that our true nature as Sat–Cit–Ānanda is initially understood at a conceptual level, but this is only knowledge and not realization. Pause here… this is only knowledge, not realization. And as reflected, mere intellectual understanding does not lead to direct realization of Truth. Just as the saying goes, “Knowing about spirituality does not make one spiritual.” If that were the case, then all scholars and intellectuals of the world would already be calling themselves spiritual realized beings. Vedānta therefore guides us beyond mere information, pointing to a deeper inquiry. It presents the method of Ātma–Anātma Viveka, where one first discerns what one is not in order to arrive at the truth of what one is. This is supported through a mantra from the Mundaka Upanishad, which negates all limiting identifications and reveals the pure, formless Self.
